First Lady Gregory

Trea Gregory was raised in the church with parents that are Pastors in the Churches of God In Christ since she was 10 years old. As a preacher’s kid, she was active in church as a Sunday School teacher and member of the church choir. She was called from her mothers’ womb. She did everything in her father’s church from teaching Sunday School of younger children to becoming an Elder at Bethel Word Ministries in 2009. The Lord has always had His hand on her life, and she would sing under the anointing since the age of 8 years old. Until Trea Gregory married, she served as the Executive Administrator of Bethel Word Ministries and her father’s newly established Fellowship of Churches.

In 2016, Trea was appointed the Elect Lady of Evangelism in the Churches of God in Christ at the NC 3rd Jurisdiction under the leadership of Bishop Patrick L. Wooden Sr. She is the administrator of the Jurisdictional Evangelism Department and a member of the Jurisdictional Praise Team as a Leader.
While consistently seeking the will of God she also obtained a Bachelor’s in Psychology at Campbell University, Buies Creek, NC and a Master of Science in Forensic Psychology at Argosy University, Atlanta Georgia Online. She is a certified Substance Abuse counselor and a Licensed Addiction Specialist. She has one biological son who serves in the United States Army and a bonus son, Henry A. Gregory VI with her husband and now a “Gigi” to six grandchildren.

Trea’s mission and goal is to facilitate the ministry of reconciliation of Jesus Christ to all young women that need to re-write their story. She believes that the Lord helped her rewrite her story when she had a child out of wedlock but was able to get back in the race for greatness. It never stopped the trajectory of her life and God’s hand is still on her life. The ministry of First Lady Trea Gregory is anointed to serve her generation and those to come. She strives to further God’s vision for all to hear the Word and gain understanding of God's love and promise. We pray God continues to use her to serve alongside her husband in ministry and to do greater exploits for the Kingdom of God!

About Us

New Home Church began during the late 1800's when a group of devoted Christians met at Black Diamond School House. As the membership grew, the worship services were held at the home of Brother Alex Davis. In 1897, New Home Church became a part of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion denomination.

According to the official records, on October 1, 1897, $50 purchased two acres of land at 3080 Charlotte Highway. The founding members were A.D. Davis, H.C. Meeks, G.W. Dixon and others. The first church structure was that of a Brush Arbor. The first pastor of New Home Church was Rev. George Dixon.

Over the years, the dwelling place underwent far-reaching improvements, with many pastors adding to the growth and development of this great church body. The present structure was occupied in 1994 under the pastoral leadership of Dr. C.J. Jenkins. The church is currently experiencing a rebirth in growth and development. Our mission is driven and empowered by Holy Spirit; we will develop disciples through Membership, Maturity, Ministry and Mission.

New Home is a place for learning, growing, seeking, and fulfilling God's purpose. We seek to be a welcoming body of faith, where all who seek to follow God, made known through Jesus Christ can grow in understanding of self, Christianity and God's will. We seek to provide a spiritual haven where all ages can share their time, talent and treasures.

New Home is a place for learning, growing, seeking and fulfilling God's Purpose. We will make a difference by being different. (Acts 3:42-47)

Mission

Driven and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we will develop disciples through:

1. Membership - knowing Christ and the Church (Ephesians 2:19)
2. Maturity - in the Word, worship and our witness (Ephesians 4:11-13)
3. Ministry - serving Christ through a ministry in the church (Ephesians 4:11)
4. Mission - go beyond the walls to community, city, country, and the world; disciples making disciples (Matthew 28-18-20)
